A dream not interpreted is like a letter not read says the Talmud-Berachot 55a. But what happens when we wake up remembering a dream? Most of the time, we lack the tools to comprehend what it came to tell us. A dream is a letter written in a language we’ve forgotten how to speak. Interpreting it however is more than translating the letter to understand its content. It is finishing writing the letter together, the analyst and the dreamer. The analyst’s job is to reveal the meaning that inspires the dreamer to become a better version of themselves.

Un sueño sin interpretar es como una carta sin leer, dice el Talmud en Berajot 55ª. Pero ¿qué sucede cuando recordamos un sueño al despertar? Por lo general nos faltan herramientas para comprender lo que nos viene a decir. El sueño es una carta escrita en un lenguaje que hemos olvidado. Interpretarlo es algo más que traducir esta carta para entender su contenido. Es terminar de escribirla en conjunto, el analista y el interprete. El rol del analista es develar el significado que inspira al soñador a convertirse en una mejor versión de sí mismo.
